Tigers News · VIRTUAL SPORTS WILL BEGIN ON September 14

As schools open student-athletes are wondering, what about sports?  During the first semester all athletics will be on hold. District leadership will evaluate the possibility of a second semester sport season later this year. Meanwhile, coaches and athletic directors will be conducting a virtual sports season throughout the first semester. The program is called CyberSport Support. During that time virtual meetings will be held to support the well-being and provide guidance to our students covering a variety of topics.

PGCPS will host weekly webinars/meetings and present guest speakers in the field of Athletics, Fitness, Mental Health, NCAA Eligibility, and other topics to engage with our families. All three sport seasons will be offered for approximately one month during this first semester.

Additionally, live virtual meetings and check-ins will be hosted by DuVal High School for student-athletes on a regular basis throughout the fall season. All students are invited to connect with respective personnel of the programs they find of interest. We encourage both returning students and new students to participate. Our goal is to provide an ongoing connection and support for our students so that when we are able to get back to playing live sports we will hit the ground running!

Students should check their email for the link to a Google Form to sign up for their sport(s) of interest.
